 Why is George

the “smartest” giant in town?

Some words in English have the same spelling but different meanings. “SMART” is a clear example of this. 

Read these sentences: 

My friend is super smart. She knows a lot about science.

The lady looks very smart. She is wearing her best dress.

In the story “The Smartest Giant in Town”, George is very smart. Is it because he is intelligent? We will have to start reading to discover why George is the SMARTEST giant in town!!
